New Federal Tax Credits for Energy Efficient HVAC Improvements
On February 17th, 2009, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of
2009 (ARRA) was signed into law. The bill includes tax incentives for
homeowners who make qualified improvements of higher efficiency HVAC
equipment to their primary residences.
For qualified
improvements, homeowners may be able to claim tax credits equal to 30%
of the installed costs, up to a maximum of $1,500!
